About Me

Mark VanderPol opened VanderPol Investments in Grand Rapids, Michigan in the fall of 2013. He has advising experience from several firms and has a passion for all things finance.

Mark enjoys playing soccer with friends, going on hikes, and watching college football. He grew up in Byron Center, MI and lives there with his wife and kids. They attend Peace Church in Middleville, and his kids attend Dutton Christian School.

Mark is held to highest fiduciary standard by being a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and a fee-only advisor. He is a graduate from Calvin University with a BA in Business.

When I started VanderPol Investments, I had more than just retirement planning in mind. I wanted to ensure my clients were doing what was best for themselves and their money in all aspects of life. I set out to create a firm that considers the complete picture and implements the best possible strategies to increase financial comfort and net worth. This is accomplished through constant consideration of our clients’ needs and goals.

VanderPol Investments is an investment advisory firm located in Byron Center, MI.

We create financial plans that address our clients’ goals and consider the entire estate while evaluating the options. Using the financial plan, we can create investment portfolios around all the assets and liabilities for a client, optimizing performance by taking advantage of various tax benefits and considering cash flow needs.

We use publicly traded securities like mutual funds, ETFs, stocks, and bonds as well as recommend Private Capital firms, when appropriate.
