I am Linda Meltzer, owner of The Cents of Money, and I hope to publish an article in the Associated Press and a few other outlets. I am contacting a few female financial advisors per recommendations from Brian Thorp of Wealthtender as part of the “Request For A Quote from you and a few select others.
My topic is how women’s relationship status (married, single, divorced, and widow) impacts their financial planning. Equitable Advisors’ study provides statistics on women handling short/long-term goals at different stages. Questions for women financial advisors in particular:
1. What is your experience with women who are married or partnered versus uncoupled ( those who never married, or recently divorced or widowed) in seeking financial help regarding focusing on short-term or future goals like creating a retirement plan?
2. Do married women tend to rely more on their spouses to deal with their retirement plans as a couple or as individuals?
3. Do single women more readily plan for their retirement plan than married women?
4. Does age or generation play a role in a woman’s focus on short-term or long-term plans (the latter would be investing, saving for kids’ college, or retirement?
Thank you for being so helpful! I have always gotten great insights from those who respond, I appreciate your time, Linda

I am interested in learning more about your services. I used to have an hourly person that I paid upfront for 10 hours per year. And it was great. But she was very reasonable.

I have let my financial health really go unattended and need someone to help me soon.
Are you available to chat? Or do a call or zoom meeting?
